The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Branch and the Danang Department of Education & Training jointly arranged the 26th Danang Youth Informatics contest, from April 12 to 15, with the Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted. The objective was to broaden the knowledge and creativity of IT students, get them to solve practical daily problems and apply them to their lives and the community in general.
Students concentrate on their tests
This year, over one thousand contestants competing in the groups: A, B, and C, on programming skills; D2 and D3 on creative software, for secondary schools; and R1, R2, and R3 on robot production and intelligent computing, for primary and secondary school students, adolescents and children, appropriate in these times of development and integration.
The objective of the contest was to identify students with the strongest IT skills and mentor them long-term for potential participation in the National Youth Informatics contest, enable them to demonstrate their work and encourage them to conduct more research.
The organizers award prizes
Mr. Le Cong Hung, Vice-Chairman of the Vietnam Student Association Central Committee, Vice-Secretary of the City Union, and Chairman of the Danang branch of the Vietnam Student Association, said: “Central Vietnam is increasingly demonstrating its importance as a center for digital transformation. The annual Youth Informatics contest is organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Branch and the Danang Department of Education & Training to provide us the opportunity to encourage and promote the creativity of the younger generation, utilizing the most appropriate IT applications.”
Prizes were awarded by age and contest group, and the top contestants were selected for participation in future regional and national competitions.
