On April 8, DTU and the ActsOne Vietnam Company signed an agreement, attended by ActsOne Vietnam Director, Mr. Kim Tae-shik; DTU Vice-Provost, Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu; DTU staff, lecturers and students.

“ActsOne Vietnam is a company specializing in e-commerce and the sale of Korean cosmetics in Vietnam,” said Mr. Kim Tae-shik. “Our company plans to expand our involvement here and will hold several events to support the development of IT education in Danang. Our joint activities will bring a wider range of opportunities for DTU students to learn and practice together and, at the same time, enable us to identify the most skilled candidates for future employment.”
DTU and ActsOne Vietnam agreed to:
- Provide human resources to ActsOne when appropriate
- Arrange visits and internships at ActsOne for students and lecturers
- Devise internship outlines and plans
- Organize conferences, seminars and annual fairs
- Forecast recruitment requirements
- Support academic events, talent shows and other extra-curricular activities
The signing
According to the theme of the event, the DTU School of Computer Science launched the 2023 “Real-Time Chat Message Processing Challenge Hackathon” for IT devotees in Danang. Registration and coding ran from April 10 to 23, and the finals will be held on May 11. Following the success of previous competitions, the 2023 contest challenges students to develop applications for mobile devices. This year, the objective is to develop a program that can handle the maximum number of chat messages per second in real time, using Java or Golang programming. Solutions must be submitted to the GitHub platform, with detailed documentation on building, operating, and testing.
Prizes are:
- First: 20 million VND
- Second: 10 million VND
- Third: 5 million VND
