On Feb 23rd, DTU met with representatives from Meliá Vinpearl Hotel & Resorts, with Mr. Dongwon Chung, Meliá Vinpearl Hotel & Resorts Central Region Director; Dr. Mo Chulmin, Rector of the DTU Hospitality and Tourism School; DTU lecturers and representatives from Meliá Vinpearl Hotel & Resorts in attendance.
The meeting
DTU and Meliá Vinpearl Hotel & Resorts discussed training activities, career orientation and job opportunities for DTU students of Hospitality and Tourism at Meliá Vinpearl.
Mr. Dongwon Chung recognized the high quality of the training at DTU Hospitality and Tourism School, especially in the two majors of International Hospitality Management and International Restaurant Management.

DTU and Meliá Vinpearl Hotel & Resorts agreed to jointly conduct the following activities:
- Meliá Vinpearl Riverfront Danang will permit Hospitality and Tourism students to visit the hotel to gain practical experience of operations,
- Meliá Vinpearl Hotel & Resorts will provide Hospitality and Tourism students with internships at Meliá Vinpearl Danang, Meliá Vinpearl Hue, Meliá Vinpearl Quang Binh, Meliá Vinpearl Ha Tinh and Meliá Vinpearl Nghe An,
- Meliá Vinpearl Hotel & Resorts will provide DTU students of Hospitality and Tourism with job opportunities at Meliá Vinpearl hotels. Interns at Meliá Vinpearl Hotel & Resorts can get into the Captain's seat after passing the job interview,
- Career orientation workshops
The 6-month internships at Meliá Vinpearl are designed to provide the necessary experience that students require to work in Hotel and Restaurant Management. When the internships end, professionals from Meliá Vinpearl will provide the students with career orientation, to boost their self-confidence and qualify for a stable career in an eco-friend industry.
