On March 13th an MOU was signed online with Republic Polytechnic in Singapore. Dr. Michael Koh, Republic Polytechnic’s Vice-Provost; Dr. Le Nguyen Tue Hang, DTU Vice-Provost; and staff of the two universities participated.
The online signing
Founded in 2003, Republic Polytechnic (RP) is the youngest institute of the five public polytechnics in Singapore. Republic Polytechnic benefits from its strong reputation in Engineering Technology, Economic Management, Information
Technology and Tourism education. In addition, innovative teaching methods and attractive tuition fees attract thousands of local and international students, especially from nearby Asian countries. Overall, Republic Polytechnic currently offers programs in Applied Science, Science and Technology, Communication Engineering & Information Technology, Communications & Business, Health & Physical Sciences and Hospitality Management.
The two universities express an interest in expanding their academic collaboration
DTU and RP representatives exchanged general information about their universities, research programs and international partnerships. They agreed to expand their agreement to plan joint training programs, research projects and exchanges in several different fields:
- Staff and student academic exchanges
- Student leadership development and service programs
- Joint academic research, seminars, and conferences
The MOU signing ceremony marked an important development between the two universities and will create the ideal conditions for exchanges and internships between Vietnam and Singapore.
