On October 13, DTU signed a comprehensive agreement with the FPT Long Chau Pharma Company, which will help the DTU Faculty of Pharmacy to improve the quality of education, meet employer recruitment requirements and provide qualified graduates with increased job opportunities.
Attendees included Mr. Nguyen Trieu Duong Quang, Deputy Director of the FPT Long Chau Talent Attraction Department, Ms. Lam Thi Huynh Trang from FPT Long Chau, Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu, DTU Vice Provost, and the Dean, the Vice-Dean, lecturers and students of the DTU Faculty of Pharmacy.

FPT Long Chau, a member of the FPT Corporation, is a retail pharmacy chain with stores located in all 63 provinces. FPT Long Chau provides a wide range of prescription and non-prescription drugs, functional foods, medical equipment, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and healthcare products.
Mr. Quang said: “Currently, FPT Long Chau has 22 stores in Danang and our collaboration with DTU is now one of our top priorities. At present, 274 of the FPT Long Chau employees are DTU alumni. We always welcome new DTU
applicants and I would like to thank the DTU Board of Provosts and lecturers for their continuing support. We also want to deliver a message to future DTU pharmacists, “If you study hard, thoroughly and persistently, you will succeed!””
DTU and Long Chau Pharma agreed to partner in order to:
- Send students on field trips to pharmaceutical factories to achieve recruitment requirements
- Conduct research on pharmaceuticals
- Improve the quality of pharmaceutical staff
- Build and promote the brand images of Long Chau Pharma and DTU in the community
The signing
Long Chau Pharma then held a talk show for students entitled “The road to becoming a 4T Pharmacist” and Mr. Quang explained the 4T criteria in detail. 4T is an abbreviation of the 4 Vietnamese words “Tâm - T?m - Tài - Ti?n”, which means that a professional pharmacist should be talented and thorough. He also gave information on working at Long Chau Pharma and on current job opportunities.
The agreement will broaden the partnership between DTU and Long Chau Pharma, ensuring that the course curriculum will enable students to meet all current recruitment requirements. Meanwhile, Long Chau Pharma will provide career skills training and give priority to recruiting new, qualified DTU graduates.
