Signing Ceremony for the MoU with Dong-Eui University, South Korea

On August 8th, the DTU Hospitality & Tourism Institute signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center at Dong-Eui University in South Korea to enhance educational development.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Jeong Seok Chan, Director of the AI Grand ICT Research Center of Dong-Eui University; Prof. Dr. Lim Sang Taek, DTU Vice-Provost and Rector of the DTU Hospitality & Tourism Institute; and DTU and Dong-Eui University lecturers.

The signing 
 
Prof. Dr. Lim Sang Taek, said: “It is an honor for the DTU Hospitality & Tourism Institute to sign a collaborative agreement with the AI Grand ICT Research Center of Dong-Eui University. The MoU will benefit the DTU Hospitality & Tourism Institute to develop smart tourism. Hopefully, the MoU will help further advance our partnership and mutual support in the near future.” 
 
Founded in 1966 in Busan, the second largest city in Korea after the capital Seoul, Dong-Eui University is home to nearly 18,000 students including 3,200 international students. Dong-Eui University has gained fame in the fields of Economics, Medicine, Information Technology, etc. The university has achieved remarkable growth through the 56 years it has been active in higher education, and is now carrying forward its role as a global leader in education beyond the region.

The DTU Hospitality & Tourism Institute and the AI Grand ICT Research Center signed an agreement to develop activities, including:
 
? exchange of educational and research documentation and of academic publications and information;
? lecturer and researcher exchange for collaboration of university with industry, research, lecturing, and academic debate;
? support for student internships and exchange.
 
This cooperation memorandum with be a jumping board to strengthen international academic collaboration between the two partners in IT & communications, smart tourism, metaverse, AI, and Big Data.
