Solution to Human Resource Problem in 4.0 Era from World Top 500 University

Considered one of the ideal environments for students to acquire a knowledge foundation before entering the labor market, universities carry the burden that is the mission to train skilled workers worldwide. Due to the ever growing quantitative and qualitative competition due to globalization and the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, students - and especially of engineering, architecture, and environmental sciences - furthermore need to be provided extra specialized knowledge and practical work skills to meet the ever more stringent human resource requirements.

Signing of agreements with thirty businesses to launch the “Secure Future” program
 
The program has a completely new format and content never before seen in the Vietnamese university network. It is to be implemented and applied already in the 2022 enrollment season for engineering, architecture, and environmental sciences. The program includes many spearhead strategies with roadmaps and highly effective objectives, with the desire to guarantee high-quality human resources for the 2023–2030 innovation period in Central Vietnam in these three fields.
 
The “Secure Future” program has attracted the interest of a great many students, parents, and notably recruiters, and the program has been joined by a huge number of big, famous, and prestigious enterprises like M.E.I. Material, Equipment, & Investment Construction JSC, Vinaconex 25 JSC, T-Tech Vietnam Technology corp. For many years now, DTU has ensured every single graduate in engineering, architecture, and environmental sciences finds employment. This year, the university sets another goal: graduates are to get eight-figure salaries at good job positions at agencies or enterprises. For many years, enterprises in engineering, architecture, and environmental sciences have been in dire need of human resources and many high-paying job positions have remained unfilled, while businesses selected and highly appreciate DTU students in these fields for their abilities.

High-quality training programs imported from world-leading universities
 
For many years, DTU has been creating a comprehensive and prestigious ecosystem to train students in engineering, architecture, and environmental sciences, with a huge lot of achievements and prizes. Among these, one should mention the hundreds of enterprises who have been there for DTU throughout the years and especially the training programs imported from California State University Fullerton (one of the leading public universities on the US West Coast in engineering) and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (ranked in the US top five in architecture) to implement the first Advanced & High-Quality programs in architecture and engineering in Central Vietnam.

DTU implemented the first Advanced & High-Quality programs in architecture and engineering in Central Vietnam
 
In environmental sciences, students can take part in research exchange programs in collaboration with Singapore Polytechnic. They furthermore receive instruction from their lecturers on participation in practical research, such as on domestic waste treatment, textile dyeing wastewater and aquatic wastewater treatment, and assessing the quality of the marine environment after the Formosa incident; or most recently researching and advising the city authorities on very hot issues in Danang, such as landslides and beach erosion, groundwater salinization, and water resources during dry seasons.
 
One of the noteworthy highlights in the curriculums is the Conceive–Design–Implement–Operate (CDIO) method applied in engineering, architecture, and environmental sciences. The method encourages proactiveness in studying and acuity when dealing with practical situations.
 
Attractive scholarship policy for engineering, architecture, and environmental sciences
 
The attractive study encouragement policy is the next outstanding feature of the “Secure Future” program. Under the program, all successful applicants for engineering, architecture, and environmental sciences in 2022 will enjoy a 30% reduction in tuition fees throughout their studies at DTU. Accordingly, the students will now only pay this lowest tuition fee of not even 7 million per term for a high-quality, international-standard environment.
