Eleven Vietnamese Universities Rank Among QS’s Top Asian Universities in 2022

Eleven Vietnamese universities have been listed in the 2022 QS Asian University Rankings, produced by the Quacquarelli Symonds higher education marketing company in the UK. Several Vietnamese universities have improved their rankings year to year and DTU rose from the 351-400 group to 210th.

The eleven Vietnamese higher education institutions
 
Ton Duc Thang University was placed at 142nd, an increase of 21, followed by Vietnam National University in Hanoi at 147th; Vietnam National University in HCMC at 179th; and the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, in the 281-290 range.
 
The QS rankings compare 675 institutions and presents the most extensive independent analysis of the region's higher education environment, with 38 additional universities added this year. Input comes from over 130,000 academics and 75,000 employers worldwide, as well as an in-depth analysis of the 96 million citations for papers published in 14.7 million journals, excluding self-citations. 
 
Once again, the National University of Singapore comes first in Asia and 11th in the world, with the city-state's Nanyang Technological University at third in place in Asia and 13th worldwide. 
 
Malaysia has 5 institutes in the top 50, with Malaya University in 8th place. Thailand has 23 universities listed, two of whom are in the top 50, the Philippines has 15 and Indonesia has 34 this year.
