Hong Minh fell in love with dentistry in the 11th grade and became determined to pursue a degree in Odonto-Stomatology at DTU. With her outstanding academic ability and impressive record of achievement, she enrolled at DTU and received a full scholarship covering 100% of her tuition - a well-deserved reward for her sustained efforts.
The Odonto-Stomatology program is academically demanding, requiring students to master a substantial body of specialized knowledge, from anatomy and physiology to pathology, treatment, and clinical practice. Nevertheless, Hong Minh has successfully balanced her professional studies with her long-standing passion for the arts.
In 2023, she once again impressed the judges, winning the Sing Out Loud English-language singing competition with a powerful performance of “Fall in Line.”
In 2024, Hong Minh returned to the spotlight and won a silver medal at the 2024 National Music and Dance Festival for her performance of “Apsara Dancer by the Han River.” The performance not only showcased her artistic talent but also expressed her deep love for Da Nang’s culture.

As part of that journey, Hong Minh recently won third prize at the sixth National Biology Olympiad for University Students in 2026. The DTU delegation earned two second prizes, four third prizes, and one honorable mention.
“Biology is by no means an unfamiliar subject. Knowledge of living organisms, cells, genetics, physiology, and biological processes provides the foundation that enables Health Sciences students to progress toward more advanced, specialized knowledge. Throughout my preparation and the competition itself, every new concept I discovered helped me better understand the field I am pursuing and made me even more confident that I had chosen the right career path from the outset,” Hong Minh said.

Behind the medals and certificates lies a sustained effort that not everyone sees. Hong Minh follows a simple learning philosophy that nevertheless requires considerable perseverance: study consistently and master the fundamentals.
Given the rigorous nature of the Odonto-Stomatology program, she focuses on thoroughly understanding subjects ranging from anatomy, physiology, and pathology to diagnosis and treatment, while continually connecting theory with practice. Hong Minh believes that studying consistently and building a firm grasp of the material today will give her the foundation she needs to become an excellent dentist in the future.
When she learned that she had won third prize at the 2026 National Biology Olympiad for University Students, Trinh Nguyen Hong Minh felt both joyful and deeply moved. The award was the result of months of persistent study, preparation, and hard work leading up to the competition.

Another successful National Biology Olympiad season for DTU

DTU’s Biology Olympiad team earned an overall Excellent ranking and seven individual awards. These achievements demonstrate the dedication of the entire team, with every member investing time, energy, and determination in taking on a highly challenging academic competition. Throughout this process, the dedication of DTU’s faculty members was a tremendous source of encouragement and a strong foundation of support. They gave my teammates and me the confidence to complete this journey and achieve the results we celebrate today,” Hong Minh affirmed.
Every milestone Hong Minh has reached reflects not only a journey of hard work but also her willingness to embrace challenges and continually strive for greater achievements. She also embodies the defining qualities of generations of DTU students: confident, versatile, and always ready to conquer every “stage” in life - from the bright lights of artistic performance to the lecture halls of demanding professional study.
