SCImago has just announced their 2020 Institution Rankings. DTU was ranked 10th in Vietnam, and 752nd out of 7,026 institutions worldwide. DTU would actually rank 6th in Vietnam if only universities were included.
The SIR classification ranks academic and research-related institutions using an indicator combining sets of three different indicators, research performance (50%), innovation (30%) and social impact (20%), based on their internet presence.
SCImago is a research group from the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), the University of Granada, Extremadura, Carlos III (Madrid) and Alcalá de Henares, who retrieve and analyze information using visualisation techniques. In 2009, SCImago announced the annual SCImago Institution Rankings, developed from the Scopus database.
