In October 2017, the DTU Faculty of Hospitality & Tourism signed an exchange agreement with Sejong University in South Korea to enable students to learn about Korea and its culture at one of Korea’s best universities and, during 2018, will receive seven Korean students from Sejong. One of them, Jang Jin Won, began studying for 6 months in August.

Jang Jin Won is a third-year student of Education at Sejong and, on arrival in Danang, she registered for her courses. By coming to DTU, Won has had to delay her full-time course at Sejong. She said: “I will graduate later than my Korean colleagues but currently have a unique opportunity to explore Vietnam and its culture, and make new friends here. DTU is well-known for Hospitality education and Danang is one of the most attractive cities on the central coast. I hope that being an exchange student at DTU will be very beneficial in my future career.”

In March, three DTU Hospitality and Tourism students went to Sejong University as part of the same exchange program and, up to now, DTU has received ten from the Faculty of Tourism & Hospitality at Sejong, who were also able to intern at the Novotel, Sheraton, Intercontinental, Vinpearl and the Furama.
