The 2018 International Conference on the Environment and Renewable Energy

On February 25th, Duy Tan University, the University of Industry in Ho Chi Minh City and the Hong Kong Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society jointly held the fourth International Conference on the Environment and Renewable Energy (ICERE 2018). Attendees included Professor Fan-Lin Chao from the Chaoyang University of Technology in Taiwan; Associate Professor Takashi Ikegami from the Tokyo University of Agriculture & Technology;  Distinguished Teacher and Hero of Labor, Le Cong Co, DTU President and Provost; Associate Professor Le Duc Toan, DTU Vice-Provost; Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong, Dean of the DTU Faculty of Environmental & Chemical Engineering; and fifty foreign specialists and researchers in the Environment and Renewable Energy and related fields.

Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co  

Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co said: “Environmental protection has now become vitally important. Many international climate change conferences have already been held, including the 2016 United Nations Climate Change Conference, with its action slogan “Environmental protection will save our lives”. ICERE 2018 at DTU is a forum for researchers in Vietnam and abroad to promote information interchange and share their views, experiences and research on the Environment and Renewable Energy.”

The delegates   

ICERE 2018 brought together forward-thinking academics and industry experts in the Environment and Renewable Energy. Presentation topics included: The Development and Utilization of Solar Energy, Biomass Energy and Wind Energy; Nuclear Energy Engineering; Storage Technology; Energy-saving Technology; Hydrogen and Fuel Cells; Energy Materials; Energy Chemical Engineering; Energy Security and Clean Use;  New Energy and Electric Vehicles; Energy-Efficient Lighting Products and Technologies; Green Building Materials and Energy-Saving Buildings; and Energy Equipment. 
 
Papers were selected for publishing in the International Proceedings of the Chemical and Biological Journal and in the International Journal of Food Engineering.
