On September 25th, the DTU Faculty of Accounting and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICEAW) held a seminar entitled: “Enterprise Expectation and Student Preparation for Future Careers”. Ms. Dang Thi Mai Trang, ICAEW Regional Chief Representative for Southeast Asia; Ms. Tran Thu Huong, ICAEW Senior Marketing Development Manager; Mr. Mai Duc Chung, ICAEW Marketing officer; Ms. Do Mai Anh, ICAEW Media and Marketing Officer, DTU lecturers and students attended.

ICAEW was founded in 1880 and supports 144,000 Chartered Accountants worldwide. ICAEW provides insight and leadership in global accounting and finance through its professional knowledge, technical skills and broad experience.
ICEAW awarded fifty online accounts for an accounting skills training course to DTU students. The course will offer them the opportunity to obtain a wide range of practical business, finance and accounting knowledge and the essential professional skills to start their own business or find a suitable job on graduation.

Ms. Tran Thu Huong said: “Companies have been searching for qualified, professional graduates to fill excellent available positions. With the proper training, specialized skills and self-confidence, you will be able to prove your ability and creativity, the key elements to help you on the path to a successful career. Accountants must also have a sound knowledge of the English language to work internationally.”
