The Several Advances in Computational Research Seminar

On July 31st, the DTU Faculty of Civil Engineering held the “Several Advances in Computational Research” Seminar. Attendees included Professor Bernhard Schrefler of the University of Padova in Italy; Professor Stéphane Bordas of the University of Luxembourg, Professor Timon Rabczuk of the University of Bauhaus, located in Weimar, Germany; and lecturers from the DTU faculties of Civil Engineering, Architecture and the Environment and Chemical Engineering.  
 
Attendees 
 
The professors presented their research, highlighting the use of virtual reality simulation to solve complex problems. Their research covered various areas, including muscle-biology, mechanical computation, data exploration, finite element methods, fracture mechanics and durability, performance computation, surgical simulation, new computational methods and others. 
 
DTU lecturers with leading visiting professors 

The DTU Faculty of Civil Engineering also presented some recent research in the fields of Mechanics and Construction. 

Dr. Nguyen The Duong, Dean of DTU Faculty of Civil Engineering said: “The seminar allowed DTU lecturers to learn about recent significant achievements in Computational Engineering and motivated students to persevere in their studies”.
