On June 16th, DTU and the International Linear Algebra Society (ILAS) hosted the 6th International Conference on Matrix Analysis and Applications (ICMAA). Seventy professors and senior lecturers from sixteen countries, including America, Canada, Japan, China, South Korea, Thailand, India and the Czech Republic attended.
Delegates
“This conference brings together researchers sharing an interest in Matrix Analysis and its applications in other areas of science” said Professor Vu Xuan Quang, DTU Vice-Provost. “I hope that it will enable mathematicians to expand long-term relationships in research, based on their contributions and dedication to the development of science in the modern age.”
Delegates
The researchers presented their latest research on Linear and Multilinear Algebra, Matrix Analysis, Graph Theory and Applications, including “Positive Matrices, Real, Rational and Integral”, by Professor Abraham Berman of the Israel Institute of Technology, “Construction of the Determinental Representation of Ternary forms” by Professor Mao-Ting Chien from Soochow University in Taiwan and “ A Least Squares Approach for Regularized Incremental Linear Discriminant Analysis on Large-Scale Data” by Professor Delin Chu, from the National University of Singapore.
The best papers were selected for the special issue of Matrix Analysis and Applications, published by Springer.
