Professor Trung gives advice to DTU lecturers and staff
Professor Trung has spent much time teaching and conducting research projects with young students. He said: “We faced many difficulties during our early days at the Institute of Mathematics. However, we had the determination to work hard and pursue our research. I believe that once you dedicate yourself to research, you will always have the patience and energy to overcome all obstacles.”
Professor Trung gave invaluable advice on how to build effective working teams, about educational collaboration, research scholarships and so on.
“Although it strives to be a research and applications focused university, DTU is still aware of the fact that study of fundamental science is still vital for the sustainable development of applied sciences,” said Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co, DTU President and Provost. “Without considering monetary profits as its main goal, DTU spends a lot of time ‘reinvesting’ in education, ‘importing’ prestigious well-developed, international programs and focusing on research. I hope that we will continue to contribute to the development of research in the fundamental sciences at DTU through our strategy of attracting talented academics and creating a research environment to support them.”
