On January 14th, DTU and the Sheraton Hoi An Tam Ky Resort and Spa signed a partnership agreement. Ms. Nongluck Narkman, Marketing and Sales Director of the Sheraton, Ms. Pham Thi Sa, Financial Director, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, the Human Resources Manager, Dr. Nguyen Tan Thang, DTU Vice-Director, DTU lecturers and students attended the event.

The Sheraton is one of the top 30 brand-names of Marriott International, Inc, a leading global hotel company, with nearly 6,000 properties in 120 countries. Located on Tam Tien Beach in Nui Thanh in Quang Nam province, the international 5-star resort in the south of Quang Nam is the fourth Sheraton in Vietnam.
Dr. Nguyen Tan Thang said: “Over the past 22 years, with its motto “We do everything for student rights and careers”, DTU has collaborated with many leading universities worldwide to transfer their advanced academic programs and broaden internship and career opportunities for students. Through field visits and internships, DTU students of Foreign Languages and Tourism can learn more about business at the Sheraton and the hotel can identify potential candidates to assist in the development of their organization in the future.”
The Sheraton Hoi An Tam Ky Resort & Spa recruits after the signing
Under the agreement, DTU and the Sheraton will jointly host an annual student workshop and job fair. DTU will send lecturers to teach English at the Sheraton and present talks about the Vietnamese culture to hotel guests.
The Sheraton interviewed job applicants and offered various positions to eligible candidates.
Nhu Yen Chi, an alumni of K17 in the DTU Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, was interviewed for a job in Sales. She said:
“I graduated from DTU and am researching work opportunities at the Jobs Fair and on the DTU website. With the knowledge and professional skills I have acquired at DTU, I have been offered job in a in Danang on graduation. I can now expect to work in an international environment like the Sheraton Hoi An Tam Ky Resort & Spa.”
