Dr. Vo Thanh Hai presents his preliminary report
Dr. Vo Thanh Hai presented the Emulation Block’s preliminary report of the first 2016-2017 semester. He stated that the Emulation Block of Private Universities and Colleges in Danang consisted of 13 members. The educational offerings of the schools include regular university and college degrees, second degrees, linking programs, distance learning, and study and work programs. Majors offered by the schools are very diverse, ranging from Economics and Social Science to Engineering and Technology, Health Sciences, Hospitality and Services. The schools increased their investment in infrastructure investments and improved the training of staff and lecturers. More research was encouraged and promoted, with the specific goal of producing high-quality research and winning top awards at research contests and conferences.
The schools in the Private Block sign an emulation agreement for 2016-2017
Dr. Vo Thanh Hai, representing all the schools in the Block, mentioned difficulties currently encountered and offered some opinions to the Department of Education and Training and the Commission of Emulation in Danang. In particular, enrollment has recently suffered from problems which have directly affected activities and the lives of staff and lecturers. The schools still do not have access to loans at preferential interest rates to continue investing in basic infrastructure improvement and development. In the future, the schools hope to get more attention from the Department of Education and Training in terms of awards, recognition, more staff training, appreciation of private school teachers and the ability to continue enrollment consultancy programs at city high schools.
To successfully reach their objectives in 2016-2017 and to celebrate major national, city and educational festivities, the Emulation Block of Private Universities and Colleges in Danang has drawn up a plan for this year. This includes continuing the “Studying and working following Ho Chi Minh’s moral example” campaign, promoting the emulation movement “Building a friendly school and active students” campaign”, and the “Each teacher is an example of morals, self-study, and creativity” campaign, where everyone actively takes part in cultural, artistic, physical, and sporting activities organized by the Emulation Block and the Department of Education and Training.
To conclude the conference, the private universities and colleges of Danang signed an emulation agreement for 2016-2017. As the leader of the Emulation Block, DTU received the trust of the other members by affirming its dedication to the improvement of education even more strongly.
