On November 19th, to mark the 22nd annual celebration and 34th anniversary of Vietnamese Teacher’s Day, the DTU Trade Union held a meeting with lecturers who had successfully defended their PhD graduation theses in 2015 - 2016 and were conferred Associate Professorships.

Mr. Phan Van Son, Chairperson of the DTU Trade Union, said: “During your time at DTU, you have all worked hard to improve your qualifications and dedicate your lives to teaching. Now, with this sustained determination, you are a vital factor in the future development of DTU, in our mission to graduate high-quality professionals into the local workplace.”
The DTU Board gives gifts to newly-granted Associate Professors and Ph.Ds
On October 10th, Dr. Doan Hong Le, Vice-Director of DTU Center for Economic & Social Research and Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hieu, Vice-Director of the DTU Institute for Advance Technology Development and Research, were both granted Associate Professorships by the Chairman of the National Professorship Council.
Recognizing the support he has always received from the DTU Board of Provosts, Associate Professor Hieu said: “Since coming back home to work at DTU many years ago, the DTU Board has encouraged me to focus on my studies. They have invested in building advanced research facilities and adopted policies to attract more young research graduates from abroad to come to work here. DTU is an ideal place for us to make significant contributions to the country’s development.”
The meeting demonstrated how the DTU Board and Trade Union dedicate themselves to the lecturers and staff and recognize and reward outstanding achievers.
