International-standard programs using advanced study methods

DTU has partnered with California State University, Fullerton in Fullerton and Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, the two leading universities on the American west coast in Architecture and Construction, to develop the first advanced programs in the Central region. DTU has invited foreign lecturers to teach at the university and sent lecturers abroad for further training, as well as investing in state-of-the-art teaching facilities.

Significant Awards in National and International Competitions

To enhance the quality of education, DTU has proactively introduced advanced teaching methods in certain fields of study. In 2012, the university started using the CDIO (Conceive - Design - Implement - Operate) model to teach the Technology & Engineering majors. In 2013, DTU also adopted PBL (Problem-Based Learning/Project-Based Learning), a new international teaching method for students of Economic Management, Health Sciences and Humanities & Social Science, to boost student knowledge, skills and professional experience.

The DTU IDEERS team won the Asia-Pacific Regional IDEERS Champions Cup at the 2014 IDEERS convention, held at the National Centre for Research on Earthquake Engineering in Taiwan, surpassing other strong teams from Seoul National University, the National University of Singapore, the National University of Taiwan, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and others. They came third in both 2013 and 2015.

Since 2010, DTU has become a leading player at the National Architecture Festival. In 2014, DTU won 14 awards, including three firsts, one second, six thirds and four consolation prizes. At the National Architecture Festival in 2016, DTU won 14 awards, including one first, six seconds, six thirds and one lucky prize, outpacing other universities from Hue, Danang, Khanh Hoa and Quy Nhon.

DTU is also won big prizes in national contests for Architecture students, such as SPEC GO GREEN, Sao Bien and Xay Cau O Thuoc.

In 2016, a large number of students have enrolled in Multimedia, Graphics and Game Design courses because of the increasing career opportunities offered in advertising and entertainment in Danang. Most of them have no problem finding good jobs on graduation.

The well-equipped Graphics Center and Silver Swallows Studio offer excellent facilities for students to acquire invaluable practical experience for their future careers.
