Workshop on Cyberwar and Career Opportunities in Network Security

On October 8th, the DTU International School held a workshop on Cyberwar and Career Opportunities in Network Security. Representatives of the Vietnam Computer Emergency Response Teams (VNCERT), Secure Vietnam, the ICT Infrastructure Development Center of the Danang Department of Information & Communications, lecturers and students from the DTU International School and IT attended.

With more and more data being stored on networked computer systems, information leakage and data loss seriously affects business operations so recently there has been a great demand for highly-qualified workers in Network Security.

Mr. Le Minh Chi said: “In recent years, in a period of globalization and integration, employers have given priority to candidates who are good at foreign languages and soft skills, so it is important for you to improve these to broaden your career opportunities. Then, if you are good at science, with logical thinking and creativity, you are qualified to study Network Security.”

Much valuable information on Network security was presented at the workshop, including a general overview of Danang’s data center, how to conduct and supervise Information Security, how to supervise and analyze page views, interactive IT systems in Finance and ways of optimizing infrastructure and security. 
 
The workshop provided students of Network Engineering and Network Security in the advanced CMU program of DTU Faculty of International School and IT programs a better understanding of the role of Network Security in day-to-day business operations, and corresponding workforce requirements and career opportunities.
