Duy Tan University is one of the very few educational institutions in the Central Region to offer advanced degree programs. Students are eager to learn and conduct research, and the university will continue to offer these programs to provide students with Master and Doctoral study and research opportunities in 2016.
In late 2013, DTU became the first and the only private university to be approved to offer Ph.D. courses in Business Administration and Computer Science. The University has continually invested in the design of innovative curricula and focused on teaching staff quality at the postgraduate level. Many DTU lecturers come from renowned American universities.
DTU partners with well-known universities in the USA to improve the quality of education
Ph.D. candidates are supervised by Vietnamese and American professors. Students must publish at least one research paper in the SSCI or ISI magazines and present their papers at national and international conferences to graduate. They are provided with private accounts to access study and research materials, such as IEEE/IEL, IOP, Proquest, AIP/APS, Springer Link, the Web of Science and others. DTU selects Ph.D. candidates through interviews. They must have a Master’s degree in the same field as their proposed Ph.D. program, which takes from 3 to 4 years.
Four programs at the Master’s level were added in 2009. These include a Master of Science in Information Technology, a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Accounting and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering. Bachelor graduates are able to apply for Master’s degree programs in their major, which takes two years.
