The 2016 Danang International Tourism Fair was held from June 24th to 26th at the Danang Tien Son Sports Stadium. Two hundred Vietnamese and foreign companies attended and the DTU booth attracted much interest.
Foreign tourists visit the DTU booth
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Danang People’s Committee, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the Danang Department of Culture and Sports and the Sea Media Company sponsored the fair and presented their various services. Their objective was to attract more foreign tourists to Central Vietnam and the rest of the country for sustainable tourism development.
DTU staff and lecturers
At the DTU booth, tourists learnt about Danang and its people from guide books, enjoyed glasses of iced peach tea, milk tea and soda and watched students and lecturers carving fruit and vegetables.
Recently DTU also organized the 2016 Sand Sculpture Contest, to promote the protection of our shores and oceans, and increase local marine tourism. In addition, the Danang - the 2016 Summer Rendezvous event impressed visitors, promoting Vietnam’s most livable city and its beautiful scenery, with street art, and music and dancing performances.
