By integrating theory, research and practice, the center will offer students in health sciences with the specialized knowledge and professional skills, which they can then use to improve health services in Danang.
Speaking at the event, Associate Professor Nguyen Ngoc Minh, DTU Vice-provost, said: “We regard this as our first academic research startup project at DTU. We hope that with its close linking of learning and doing, theory and practice, lecturing and research, CECV will become the very place for students in Pharmacy and those in all health science majors to study, practice, and participate in charitable medical examinations to prepare their knowledge and skills before they launch their own start-ups.
Herb doctor Phan Cong Tuan, General secretary of the Danang Materia Medica Society, congratulated DTU on the inauguration of the CECV. He expected the CECV to conduct many researches combining both Eastern and Western methods, preserve Vietnamese traditional medicines and frequently hold meetings to encourage young people’s passion for medical research.
