On June 2nd, the DTU Faculty of Civil Engineering teamed up with the Esuhai Company to organize a “Consulting and Recruitment for Jobs with Japanese Companies” Festival. Mr. Dinh Thanh Tung, Chief Representative of Esuhai in Central Vietnam, and Director of the Danang branch, Mr. Tran Van Khanh, Head of the Esuhai Resource Development Department, Dr. Nguyen The Duong, Dean of the DTU Faculty of Construction, staff, lecturers and students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering attended.

Established in 2006, Esuhai now covers all three regions of Vietnam. Esuhai’s activities include education and the assignment of trainees and engineers to Japan, local job referrals and consulting with Japanese business investors in Vietnam. Esuhai wants to give students the opportunity to interact with businesses and broaden their career opportunities on graduation. They also want to introduce Japanese work ethics and style, based on responsibility, science, and progress.

“I highly admire DTU students for their dynamism, confidence, and adaptability,” said Mr. Khanh. “I know that many companies are welcoming DTU graduates. Today, we hope to give you a clearer understanding of the Japanese job market, which should open up more many opportunities to assist you in your career selection.”
Mr. Nguyen Van Khanh talked about internships and engineering jobs in Japan, which carry the benefits of one year of Japanese language training, to reach the N3 level in the language, and guaranteed employment with a salary of at least 24 million dong per month for interns and 40 million per month for senior engineers. If students participating in the program do not want to work in Japan, the company will arrange employment in Vietnam with a commensurate salary. Graduates of the DTU Faculty of Construction can take part in the program for senior engineers.
The Esuhai representatives also gave an analysis of the Japanese job market. The attendees asked many pertinent questions, about financial concerns, housing and the training schedule, which were fully addressed by the Esuhai representatives.
“I hope to work in Japan after graduating, so today’s meeting has been very useful.” explained Quang Trung of class K17 CSUXDD. “It has brought students and business together and taught me about Japanese work ethics, styles, personalities and culture. I can now plan my career more clearly.”
