The projects were selected by Danang to represent 3 out of 20 at the 13th National Technical Innovation Contest. The “Research, design, and development of a handheld parking ticket dispenser using RFID technology” was outstanding. It used an ATMega microcontroller with application software to display information on an LCD screen and serves as a completely new and efficient solution for parking management in Vietnam. With this achievement, DTU has become a national leader in the number and quality of prize-winning solutions developed.
“Our achievements at the 13th Technical Innovation Contest at the local and national level will motivate us to continue our research,” said Dr. Nguyen Duc Hien, Head of the DTU Department of Science and Technology Transfer Management. “With our highly specialized staff and lecturers, our modern technical infrastructure and close collaborations with research institutes, universities and business in Vietnam and abroad, I believe that our research capability will grow stronger day-by-day. We will produce many innovative products to improve the standard of living in our community.”
