On April 24th, the DTU International School held the 2016 preliminary selection of students for Advanced and International Programs. Sixty twelfth graders from high schools in Danang attended and they all received an exam grant worth 30 million VND.

The annual program broadens opportunities for high school students as they enter higher education. Applicants take three tests in English, Logical Thinking and Writing to evaluate their English skills, thinking abilities and levels of understanding.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Man, Dean of the DTU International School, outlined the history of DTU and overviewed information on the Advanced programs, Study-Abroad programs and the On-Site Study-Abroad program. “DTU has been increasing international partnerships, we now have collaborated with fifty with well-known universities worldwide, which helps us to improve the quality of education at DTU,” he explained. “The focus on investing in international relations, the quality of our teaching staff, the application of an advanced teaching methods and the development of attractive scholarship programs have all contributed to the expansion of the perfect study environment to enhance career opportunities for DTU students.”
Agreements to transfer advanced programs from Carnegie Mellon University, Penn State University, California State University and others have provided DTU with a strong, high-quality set of Advanced and International Programs. DTU has also developed other international programs that enjoy positive feedback from students and parents alike. These include the 2+2 Overseas programs with American degrees from Purdue University, Appalachian State University and Medaille College, the 1+1+2 Overseas programs with Lorain County Community College, Ohio University, and Green River College and 3+1 Overseas program with a British degree from Coventry University.
Mr. Man also covered the 4+0 On-Site Study-Abroad program, where students study at DTU in Danang but receive an American degree from Upper Iowa University, with full accreditation in the US and economical tuition fees.
