The Legendary Han River is the theme of this year’s competition. Performances last for about twenty minutes, using Windows Linux, Android and Mac computers. Displays can be designed in two different ways, using programming languages such as C/C++, C#, Java, JavaScript or by using applications such as AfterGlow, Finale FireWorks, FWSim, ShowSim, Photoshop, Corel, Adobe AfterEffect or Flash. Internet voting will account for 40% of the score and the judges will then evaluate performances based on perfection, innovation, beauty and technology.
In previous competitions, DTU did well. In 2012, they won the Technology Innovation prize, with a show entitled “Danang - An Historical Fiction Stories”. In 2014, Tran Anh Tuan came first with a display entitled “The Celestial Prince of Phu Dong”. Four other DTU students won second prize, with a show entitled “Youth and the Passage of Time”.
The competition will run from 16th January to 30th March, 2016 and the awards ceremony will take place from 1st to 15th of July. There will be a first prize of 15 million dong, a second of 10 million, a third of 5 and several consolation prizes of 3 million dong each.
