On September 20th, DTU held the 2015 Future CPA Contest kickoff. Attendees included Associate Professor Vo Van Nhi, Dean of Auditing and Accounting Faculty at the University of Economics in HCMC, Ms. Le Nguyen Thuy Mai from the Human Resources Department of KPMG, Mr. Nguyen Tong Duc, Human Resources Manager of Central Region Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam, Dr. Vo Thanh Hai, DTU Vice-Provost , and DTU lecturers, staff and students.

Associate Professor Nhi said: "This is the 14th Future CPA contest, held at DTU for the second time. The partnership between the University of Economics in HCMC and DTU has expanded over the years through various joint academic activities. The objective of this contest is to provide students in the Central Region with stimulating challenges and opportunities to share real-life experiences, broaden their knowledge and improve their professional skills in preparation for their future careers."
DTU students role-play an interview
The contest begins on October 4th. There will be four rounds. The first will be a multiple choice contest with 50 questions. The second will be a written test for those who pass the first round. The third round will be a lecture, based on a given topic. In the finals, contestants will present individually on stage. Winners will be awarded prizes, certificates, internship offers at KPMG and scholarships of 1,000 AUD each from CPA Australia.
Mr. Trinh Hiep Thien a member of CIMA and lecturer at the University of Economics in HCMC, told students about the latest developments in the fields of Accounting, Auditing and Finance and role-played an interview for students to practice.
In 2014, a DTU student finished sixth in the Future CPA contest, which attracted a large number of Economics students from the Central Region.
