DTU Meets with the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology

On June 29th, DTU met with a delegation from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan Tech). Attendees included Professor Song-Jeng Huang, from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Associate Professor Cheng-Hao Kevin Ko, from the Graduate School of Automation and Control, Associate Professor Chung-An Shen, from the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Associate Professor Wei-Nien Su, from the Graduate Institute of Applied Science and Technology, and Dr. Ha Dac Binh and staff of DTU International School. 
 
  
Taiwan Tech gives a present to DTU
 
A representative of Taiwan Tech introduced their academic programs, facilities and study environment at the university.  Founded in 1974, Taiwan Tech is one of the 12 leading universities in Taiwan, and one of the top technological schools. In 2012, Taiwan Tech was ranked the 55th in the top 100 new universities.  
 
   
Taiwan Tech and DTU lecturers

Excellent academic programs at Taiwan Tech include Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, Information Engineering and so on. Current enrollment includes 700 foreign students from 45 countries, which accounts for 5% of the total student population. 

Representatives of DTU and Taiwan Tech discussed the potential for an educational partnership through student exchange programs and research. They will meet again in the near future for further discussions.
