From the first minutes of the meeting, the conversation of Mr. Vu Van Thinh, a lecturer of DTU Faculty of Foreign Language and Ms. Laksika, a lecturer of Chiangmai Rajabhat University, warmed up the environment of the cultural exchange program. Students were eager to listen to the information on people, customs and festivals in Vietnam and Thailand. Each country has its special characteristics. However, people in general and students in particular always want to exchange, learn and connect with each other.
Mr. Vu Van Thinh, a lecturer of the DTU Faculty of Foreign Language, said: “Although the cultural exchange program lasts for a short time, students can make friends and share in the information of their culture and understand the differences of culture and life more. I believe that this will be a special occasion to elicit the wishes of students to get to know more about the country of their foreign friends, understand more about the P2A and contribute to the development of an ASEAN community in the future.”

Natnicha Suwanna, a student of Chiangmai Rajabhat University, said: “Listening to and exchanging ideas with DTU lecturers and students helps me know more interesting things about Vietnam. The DTU students’ friendliness makes us feel confident and excited. I hope I will have more chances to take part in meetings like this so that we can get to know and share about the beauty of our countries”.
The meeting was not only an opportunity for students to understand the cultures and people of the two countries, but it also helped each student grasp the meaning and aim of the connection between neighbouring countries and comprehend the P2A program launched in the ASEAN community more.
