Miniature Worlds During the “Duy Tan International Week 2015”

Every country on earth has its own miniature world, with a myriad of wonders, mysteries, curiosities and colorful cultures, all waiting to be discovered.

May 15th has been set aside for “Duy Tan International Week 2015” and promises to become a festive occasion for staff, lecturers, parents and students from Danang region. In the kaleidoscopic space, booths will exhibit the distinctive national styles of countries such as the US, the UK, Ireland, ASEAN countries. Visitors will be able to learn about the cultures and educational system  in these countries, and also about the DTU Advanced, Linking Studies Abroad and the On Site Studies Abroad programs, which will be announced that week.

The 13 national stands will be decorated by DTU lecturers and students, demonstrating the distinctive cultures of each country. Visitors will be able to participate in national activities such as introductory presentations in English, artistic talent shows and games from the country, souvenir buying, and introductions to typical dishes. The Organizing committee will judge the booths and activities and award valuable prizes. 
 
Throughout the week, there will be cultural and artistic activities and contests for visitors. Kicking off the one-day festival will be the fast Q&A contest about the P2A program and the Advanced Program, Linking Studies Abroad and Studies Abroad On Site being rolled out at DTU. There will also be several exciting contests, such as the General Knowledge Quiz on Economics, Cultures, ASEAN Society, in both English and Vietnamese.
There will be a Cheerleading contest with Partner Stunt contests of personal techniques such as the toss, the cupie, and 1-1 with lively music, as well as Group Stunt contests of coordinated techniques, such as high tower, the 360° tower, Liberty, and improvised towers with innovative, stunning new techniques. The Organizers will award prizes to the top performers, with total prize money of 14.2 million VND and some traditional DTU shirts as gifts.

The “Duy Tan International Week 2015” courtyard will be full of exciting activities from ASEAN countries, as part of the ASEAN Games Tour. There will be group rope skipping, quick Q&A, a game of throwing paper airplanes into a basket, tug of war, a two- person sack race, and choi singing. Furthermore, visitors will be able to find more about the DTU disciplines, educational programs, and extracurricular activities at the consulting desk and from brochures, video clips, and photos of the university. They can also seek advice on study-abroad programs.
 

The educational experience will prove invaluable but the contests will require the most attention. Guests and students will be able to take creative pictures of their friends to remind themselves of this unique and invigorating extra-curricular activity.
