In the morning of February 6th, 2015, DTU organized the collaboration signing ceremony with Phu Thien Hung SMLLC. The ceremony was attended by Mr Le Dinh Truc, Director of Phu Thien Hung; Prof. Dr. Vu Xuan Quang, DTU Vice-Provost; and many staff members of the Business Relationship Committee, the Science & Technology Department, and of the Center of Electrical Engineering (CEE) of the University.

Mr Le Dinh Truc said: “Since October 2014, the CEE has been working together with Phu Thien Hung to design a driving safety warning device. The device has only just been tested on the company’s cars, but this first phase has already yielded very satisfactory results. It is really a useful device for a car service company like ours. I hope that, in the near future, the CEE will design more products supporting our company’s services and bringing us more safety, convenience, and customer satisfaction.”
With this contract, the CEE of Duy Tan University will develop research and manufacturing of electrical and electronic devices for car monitoring and control for Phu Thien Hung. Phu Thien Hung will then coordinate with the CEE about testing, follow-up, and evaluation of stability and effectiveness of the devices, so as to put them to practical use.

Previously, DTU already signed a collaboration and technology transfer contract for the production of low-cost water filters (a product by DTU students that
won the CDIO Academy trophy at Harvard University and MIT, US, in 2013), and of a biodiesel production system (a research collaboration result of DTU and Singapore Polytechnic) for Dr Nano Technology JSC. The collaboration and technology transfer around the driving safety warning device with Phu Thien Hung SMLLC - which specializes in automobile business and services by car - once more affirms the quality and practical applicability of research at DTU.
