Spectators had the opportunity to witness a thrilling performance in the knock-out qualifying round of the National Robocon 2014 in Nha Trang on May 10th.
The DTU Robocon teams were victorious, with two spectacular wins qualifying them for the National Quarterfinals. Recognized as the strongest teams in the Central Region, DTU has proved its strength by competing against worthy competitors nationwide and have enjoyed successive SHABAASH wins.

In the qualifying round, Lac Hong University won a SHABAASH 53 seconds into the match, but the DTU-TITAN team wasn’t worried. The DTU-TITAN team brilliantly defeated its competitor in a very short time.

The DTU-TITAN win motivated DTU-CMU1 to play hard to beat SPK-Vega, from the University of Technical Education in Ho Chi Minh City, to enter the National Quarterfinals. Dinh Ngoc Duong, a DTU-CMU1 team member, said:
"The DTU-TITAN encouraged us. In this round, it was the robots’ speed that allowed us to score SHABAASH wins as soon as possible. However, for the other teams, this was a weakness, because they paid too much attention to speed and paid les attention to the robots’ stability and accuracy. So, when competing against strong teams, it is essential to have the confidence and skill to control the robot effectively for quick knock-outs."
DTU Robocon fans hope that with these successes that the DTU-TITAN and DTU-CMU1 teams will go on to win the 2014 Robocon Championship. Let’s all support them both on their road to victory on May 11th.
