DTU and ATAX Sign a Memorandum of Cooperation

Enhancing the quality of education and creating more jobs for graduates have become top priorities at many universities today. Using innovative teaching methods based on practical experience provides students with a solid foundation, although DTU always attaches special importance to both practical and soft skills training to help them reach the standards required to compete in the marketplace.
 
On May 25th, DTU signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the ATAX Auditing and Tax Consulting Company, with the objective of creating and expanding corporate relationships to provide students with practical experience.  Attendees included Mr. Nguyen Huu Phu, DTU Vice-Provost, Mr. Nguyen Van Sy, ATAX Director, Mr. Le Phuoc Hung, Director of the Thuan Anh Construction Company, Mr. Doan Duc Quy from the State Audit Office of Vietnam and DTU lecturers and students from the DTU Accountancy Faculty.

At the opening ceremony, the ATAX representative presented an overview of his company. For the last seven years, ATAX has become one of the best-known companies in the Central Region in Taxation, Accounting, Auditing, Consulting, Training and so on.

 
Mr. Nguyen Van Sy said: “We are honored to be chosen as an important DTU partner and to bring new opportunities for students to study and put their knowledge into practice. This meeting has helped us know more about DTU. Through this collaboration, we are committed to support DTU students as much as we can during their internships at our company and to offer them career opportunities in the near future.

Following the agreement, ATAX will provide DTU lecturers and students with opportunities of field work trips, internship and practice in auditing, accounting and tax in the company. Also, ATAX will participate in workshops, seminars and job fairs which are annually held at DTU. Besides providing ATAX with full information about best students whenever the company is in need of recruitment, DTU will send lecturers to ATAX to provide their staff with training courses if they want to.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Phu said: “The signing ceremony promises to bring mutual benefits to both DTU and ATAX. Duy Tan University has also established close relationships with many other large companies in the Central Region to create more internship opportunities for our students. To provide a highly-qualified workforce to the local community has become one of the strategic goals of our education and training strategy at DTU”.
