DTU and Montgomerie Links Vietnam become official partners

On August 9, Mr. Huynh Van Nhiem, Deputy General Manager of Montgomerie Links Vietnam and Mr. Nguyen Huu Phu, DTU Vice-Provost signed an agreement of mutual collaboration. The event was part of a MOET campaign to train the labor force to meet the local requirements.

Just ten minutes from Danang International Airport, the 7090-yard long Montgomerie Links golf course is located near Marble Mountain. In 2010 and 2011, it was voted as “Best Golf Course in Vietnam”. Mr. Huynh Van Nhiem said: “When our golf course is completely finished, we will need about 150 to 250 employees to work in various positions”. The collaboration will give DTU more opportunity to work at in a truly internationally environment.

Under the agreement, DTU will send faculty to teach English to staff at Montgomerie Links. Montgomerie Links will participate in planning curricula and attend conferences and job fairs at DTU. Moreover, DTU faculty and students will be welcome to visit the golf course to find out about the recruitment of part-time and full-time jobs in the fields of Accounting, Business Administration, Tourism, Foreign Languages and Information Technology.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Phu, DTU Vice-Provost said: “DTU has expanded partnerships with many local companies, aiming to support DTU graduates in finding jobs. I hope that this collaboration will be a bridge to success for our students in the future”.

“DTU is a great choice for us to partner with and we believe that DTU students will be qualified enough to meet our requirements”, said Mr. Huynh Van Nhiem.

DTU students had a brief opportunity to put questions and suggestions to Mr. Nhiem. Hopefully, DTU will graduate more and more highly qualified graduates into the local community.
