After the first two successful courses on “Software Requirements Engineering” and “Professional Starter”, on April 7th, two more training courses in “Software Project Management” and “Software Testing” are being jointly offered by DTU and the Danang Management Board. Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Quang Thanh, Vice-Director of the Danang Information and Communications Department, Mr. Tran Van Dung, Vice-Director of the project, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Duc of the Danang Information Technology Office, Ms. Le Nguyen Tue Hang, DTU Vice-Provost and Chief of the DTU Overseas Representative office, Mr. Nguyen Duc Man, Dean of the DTU International School, Mr. Nguyen Kim Giang, Director of the DTU FastTrak Center, Mr. Roger L.Cox and Mr. Dao Phu Minh Huy, together with 50 attendees from software companies and city government.
The event was part of the Danang Information Technology and Communications (ITC) Development project, funded by the World Bank.

The “Software Project Management” course is being held from April 6th to 19th and the “Software Testing” course is taking place from April 7th to 23rd . The courses are being taught by Mr. Roger L. Cox, who has 32 years of experience working for the Boeing Aircraft Corporation and Mr. Dao Phuc Minh Huy, who has worked for Microsoft for 12 years. It is expected that Mr. Cox and Mr. Huy will provide attendees with the most advanced knowledge of information technology during the two courses.
Speaking at the ceremony Mr. Dung said: “We have already participated in a variety of short -term IT training courses. We know that DTU’s training programs are the best. DTU has not only licensed CMU’s curricula but also invited world- class experts in IT to DTU to hold seminars and give talks. That is why we have absolute trust in the quality of education at DTU.”
The “Software Project Management” training course stipulates that attendees must develop their own project concerning virtual software systems in order to master the various aspects of software project management. After the training course, with a sample project plan to refer to in the future, attendees will be qualified for a career of a project leader or team leader working on medium and small- scale projects.

“Software Testing” is a topic including the concepts, principles and techniques concerned with practical software testing and program testing methods. The course provides basic to advanced knowledge of testing systems, full or partial, in the IT arena. Attendees will also have the opportunity to practice methods and techniques in software testing and use some automatic testing tools.
According to the Project Management Board, these first training courses on “Software Requirements Engineering” and “Professional Starter” are some of the most effective training courses ever jointly run with DTU. The Project Management Board has a high regard for the quality of education at DTU and for the experts visiting from America.
