“Women with Love – the Family and Life Today” was the topic of a seminar held by the DTU Trade Union Women’s Division to mark the 103rd International Women’s Day. March 7th also commemorated the 973rd anniversary of the two Trung sisters’ uprising. Participants included Mr. Ngo Van Dung, Deputy Secretary of the DTU Party Committee, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hai, from Danang University, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Huong, Dean of the DTU Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty, Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong, from the DTU Center for Research and Development, together with all female lecturers and staff.

Opening the seminar on behalf of DTU Trade Union Women’s Division, Ms. Truong Thi Hue reviewed the tradition and history of the March 8th Women’s Movement, the Two Trung sisters’ uprising and the important role of women in our national development. She also outlined the special contributions DTU women to the development of DTU and society in general over the years. She hoped that they would work hard to follow national traditions as educators and in their roles in the advancement of Vietnamese women.

Interesting opinions on life’s challenges, the desire for a happy family life and the values of a teaching profession were exchanged during the seminar.
Closing the seminar, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hai warmly wished all the DTU faculty and staff healthy, happy and successful lives.
