The 2nd International Workshop on Spectroscopy Applications took place at DTU on the 2nd and 3rd of October. The event was a collaboration between the DTU Research and Development Center, the Vietnam Institute of Materials Science and Trescom Technology of Berlin in Germany.
Attendees included Professor Dang Vu Minh, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association of Science & Technology, scientists from Germany, Japan, France, and Myanmar, Mr. Le Cong Co, DTU Chairman and Provost and faculty from the DTU Research and Development Center and the Department of Natural Sciences.

Mr. Le Cong Co, DTU Chairman and Provost said: “It is our pleasure to welcome scientists from many different locations to the 2nd International Workshop on Spectroscopy Applications at DTU. We hope that the workshop will bring more opportunity for further collaboration in spectroscopy research”.
Twenty-three speeches were delivered at workshop, with scientists sharing their experiences in applying spectroscopy in environmental studies, medicine, archaeology, telecommunications, mineral studies and so on.
Dr. Vu Xuan Quang, Manager of DTU Research and Development Center said: “Most of the attendees have been involved in research for many years, so we hope to collaborate with them in some of their ongoing projects and plans were made at the workshop to extend spectroscopy studies at the DTU Research and Development Center”.
With opportunities to collaborate with national and foreign partners worldwide, DTU is well on its way to becoming a leading institution in both academic education and scientific research.
