Initially DTU set one of its objectives to expand partnerships with foreign universities. Over the past 17 years, DTU has collaborated with more than 50 renowned universities worldwide. Meanwhile DTU is still focused on establishing even move relationships to reach its goal.
DTU Imports Curricula from the USA
The initial step is to “import” internationally standardized curricula in order to improve the quality of DTU’s education.

In 2008, DTU officially became a partner of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), one of the leading American universities in the field of Information Technology. Since then, the advanced programs in Software Technology, Information Systems and Computer Networking have been offered at DTU, sponsored of the Boeing Aircraft Corporation. Then, two years later, in 2010, DTU signed an agreement with Pennsylvania State University (PSU), one of the leading public universities in the US, to share internationally standardized programs in Business Administration, Accounting, Banking and Tourism. Additionally, a collaborative agreement to offer programs in Civil Engineering and Architecture was signed in 2011.
Accordingly, DTU receives 18 to 24 original subjects for each major supplied by these three American universities. Hundreds of DTU faculty members are sent to the USA for training every year. DTU students enrolling in advanced programs will study with certified DTU faculty and receive certificates of accomplishment granted by CMU, CSU and PSU. In 2012, enrolment in these advanced programs will be a wise choice for those wishing to study internationally at affordable rates.
New Opportunities to Study Aboard are now available to DTU students
DTU is committed to offer advanced programs to ensure its students access to high quality, international education. In 2011, DTU established programs to help students continue their studies aboard. In 2012, even more choices are available, such as: the 2+2 program (2 years at DTU and 2 years in America), the 1+1+2 program (1 year at DTU and 3 years in America) and the 3+1 program (3 years at DTU and the final one in Singapore or England).
A 2+2 program was also established in collaboration Appalachian State University. Accordingly, students will study at DTU in the first two years at affordable prices. They can the transfer to study at Appalachian State University for the final two years if they meet the requirement of a 2.5 to 4.00 GPA and 550 TOEFL PBT, or 75 in IBT or 5.5 in IELTS. On graduation, Bachelor degrees will be granted by Appalachian State University.
Meanwhile, a 1+1+2 program has been initiated in cooperation with the Lorain County Community College (LCCC), in Ohio, offering yet another choice. After finishing their first year at DTU, students will be able to study at Ohio University, Ohio State University, Cleveland State University or Toledo University.

On June 14, the signing ceremony of a new 3+1 program with Coventry University in the UK took place. Under the agreement, DTU students completing their first three years at DTU will be able to complete their final year in England to graduate with Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration, Banking, Tourism, Information Technology or Electronic Telecommunications, awarded by Coventry University.
DTU has made great efforts in to assist local Vietnamese students to have more opportunities to access and study innovative curricula worldwide. That has helped DTU to steadily become one of the leading Vietnamese universities today.
