Collaborating with foreign universities has become a common trend among Vietnamese universities and colleges. So far, most partnerships have only focused on the fields of Business, Technology, Tourism, but not Social Science or Architecture or Engineering. Knowing that universities and students alike want access to the latest materials and teaching methods to establish a highly qualified new labor force, DTU and California State University (CSU) at Fullerton have made an agreement to partner in the fields of Architecture and Engineering. This program is recognized as the first international program in Architecture and Engineering in Northern and Central Vietnam.
CSU at Fullerton was founded in 1957 and its Master’s programs were ranked by US News and World Report amongst the top ten of public universities in the western US. Overall CSU ranks 33rd , with 17,000 international students out of a total of 36,000.
In the new academic year 2012-2013, DTU is offering the following CSU programs:
- Civil and Industrial Engineering: (105 CSU)
- Architecture: (107 CSU)
The many advantages of the CSU programs will be attractive to students. With a tuition fee of only 16 million VND per year, students will be able to study with qualified DTU lecturers using innovative new teaching methods. These programs are aimed to educate students in the skills of management and planning, business strategy, English language and so on. According to the agreement, CSU will transfer the original materials and curricula for 32 Engineering and Architectural courses to DTU. After completion of the CSU program at DTU, students will be awarded 24 to 28 certificates of accomplishment by California State University.
To be accepted to enroll in these CSU programs, students will have to pass the MOET university entrance examination Tests will be held at DTU on:
1st period: 15th April, 2012
2nd period: 11th July, 2012
