On the morning of February 5th, 2012, former Tran Quy Cap teachers and alumni held a reunion at DTU. Mr. Le Cong Co, DTU Chairman and Rector and Head of the Tran Quy Cap Association for Teachers and Alumni, led the meeting, which was well attended.
The Tran Quy Cap High School in Hoi An enjoys a special relationship with DTU, and has provided DTU with 120 lecturers and staff.

It was a good opportunity for them to get together and recall their memories of Tran Quy Cap High School. Mr. Le Cong Co was very happy to note that the Tran Quy Cap High School is celebrating its 60th Anniversary this year. He said: “In celebration we will organize many activities, including a conference on the life of patriot Tran Quy Cap, funding for student scholarships and support for needy former teachers and alumni”.
Mr. Vo Van Truong addresses the meeting
Mr. Vo Van Truong, Tran Quy Cap High School Principal, said: “It is my honor to attend this meeting. I hope that Tran Quy Cap will soon be approved as meeting the Vietnamese standards of a high school”.
This meeting was the first of three initiatives to celebrate the 60th Anniversary. The other two are the Association for Contacting Former Teachers & Alumni and the publication of an anniversary magazine.
