The DTU Board of Rectors met with Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Chief Representative of the Vietnam Education Foundation (VEF) on 28th, September. They discussed a new joint program to enable DTU staff to study in the USA.
Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong addresses the meeting
VEF was founded in 2000 by the US Congress under the Vietnam Education Foundation Act to provide opportunities for Vietnamese citizens to pursue undergraduate and post-graduate studies in science and technology in the U.S., and also for American citizens to teach in the same fields of study in Vietnam. Dr. Phuong said: “We hope to receive your applications for scholarships now that study opportunities are available to you all”.
Further steps in the scholarship application process were also discussed. On behalf of DTU, Mr. Le Cong Co said: “It is such a good idea for VEF to expand its programs into Central Vietnam. As a result, we hope to have more opportunities for DTU staff to access advanced education programs in the USA”.
DTU staff interested in these scholarships can find more details at www.vef.gov and apply with their CV to VEF, Room 502, 49 Hai Ba Trung, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi.
