Dat Viet Editor-in-Chief visits DTU

On 12th March, 2011, Mr. Vo Huu Nghi, Dat Viet Editor-in-Chief led the delegation to visit DTU on his business trip to Central Vietnam. They were warmly welcomed by Ph.D Vo Thanh Hai, DTU Vice Rector and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Duong, Manager of DTU Public Relation & Marketing Center.

The meeting of DTU and Dat Viet

According to Dr. Hai, Vietnamese education still has some limits especially for graduates who meet many difficulties in applying the theory into their jobs. Some universities just care about the profits but the quality in teaching or doing scientific research. That is why the education in our country cannot catch up with the development of the world. In recent years, DTU has some changes in the process to develop such as: cooperating with American universities to exchange training programs, encouraging lecturers and students to do scientific research. Those have ensured that more than 85% DTU students get a job after gradution.

Mr. Vu Huu Nghi expressed his thanks for the warm welcome. He said: “For private universities, they have to do everything on their own. DTU has tried its best to become one of the best universities in Vietnam. With the cooperative policy, DTU has been on the right way to develop the teaching quality in Vietnam”.

Some new strategies of Dat Viet in the coming time were also presented by Mr. Vo Huu Nghi. One of them was a new online forum on www.baodatviet.vn which will open for everyone to join. He hoped this will attract DTU lecturers to post articles and ideas to comment on the topics.

The meeting ended in a friendly atmosphere. Hopefully, Dat Viet will be a connection to provide information from DTU to students and parents nationwide.
