On July 9th, 2011, Ms. Pham Le Thao and a delegation from General Tourism Department had a meeting at DTU. Welcoming the delegation were Dr. Le Duc Toan, DTU Vice-Rector, Mr. Nguyen Cong Minh, Dean of the DTU Tourism Department and lecturers.
DTU meeting with the General Tourism Department
Mr. Nguyen Cong Minh stated that DTU has established prestigious reputation in tourism training, staffed by high-qualified lecturers over the past 16 years. At the same time, DTU has also been building partnerships with the Nam Hai Resort, Sandy Beach, Vitour Danang and so on, to exchange academic training programs and support students during internships. As conceived, a new course in Tour Guide Skills will be offered at DTU with the backing of the General Tourism Department.
On behalf of General Tourism Department, Ms. Pham Le Thao said: “We highly appreciate DTU’s efforts in training new Tourism staff over the years. According to our survey, DTU was ranked top in teaching quality for both long term and short term courses. Hopefully, DTU will continue to train even more qualified Tourism workers in the future”.
Other plans were also discussed at the meeting. A new course in Tour Guide Skills will commence in September, 2011 with several alternative options for students with different levels and qualifications.
