On the morning of 29th May, 2011, the DTU Public Relations & Marketing Center held an awards ceremony for contestants in the “2011 Funny Pictures Contest”.
The contest was kicked off on 6th March, on the Enrollment Consulting Day held by Tuoi Tre Press. It ran until 7th April, 2011 and only 12th grade students were eligible. Three hundred students competed in Danang and four hundred in Hanoi Votes were cast for favorite contestants using the photo.duytan.edu.vn website, from 8th April to 14th May, 2011.

Tran Thi Hong Hanh, a student from Nguyen Hien High School, Quang Nam Province, was awarded the first prize of 1.5 million VND. The second prize, worth 1 million VND, presented to Nguyen Van Hoang from Chu Van An High School in Hanoi. Nguyen Thi Thuy, Nguyen Thi Ly and Nguyen Ngoc Anh won third prize. The judges also gave five merit awards and a special prize to the person who guessed the exact number of votes cast for the winner.
