On April, 8th, 2010, a program entitled “Giving Strength for Life 2010" took place at House of Culture in Hue. It was organized by Duy Tan University and the Hue community. The event celebrated the 35th anniversary of Vietnamese National Reunification and also to raise the spirits of Youth Union members to overcome the difficulties in daily life at home and at school.
Participants included Mr. Nguyen Quang Tuan, a member of the Hue Province Group, Mr. Truong Quang Trung, Secretary of the Hue Province Group, Dr. Vo Thanh Hai, Vice Rector of Duy Tan University and over 1,000 Youth Union members from local high schools.
During this event, DTU students and high school students performed to dispel the cool atmosphere in Hue. The program became more lively when Dr.Hai related information on the attractive study opportunities, international programs and scholarships available at DTU during the 2010 enrollment period. He answered questions from candidates preparing for the upcoming university entrance exams. His sincere advice increased the confidence of candidates in their choices for the future.
Duy Tan University also awarded 40 scholarships, each worth 500,000 VND to 40 students at local high schools. It was DTU’s contribution to youth union members who have made outstanding contributions to the growth of organization.
This exchange program between DTU and Hue’s Youth Union is held annually. It is an opportunity for students to understand more about DTU and make the right decision in choosing suitable place to study.
