GuoGuang Electric Vietnam Recruits DTU Chinese Language Students

GuoGuang Electric (Vietnam) Co. Ltd. visited DTU on the afternoon of November 21, 2025, to meet with and directly recruit students from the Faculty of Chinese Language at the School of Languages, Social Sciences, & Humanities. The event offered the students a practical view of career pathways within a foreign-invested enterprise, opportunities to apply Chinese language skills at work, and essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and professional conduct in a modern manufacturing environment.

Mr Felix Liu, Production Center Director at GuoGuang Electric Vietnam, speaking at the event

Founded in 1951 in Guangzhou, China, GuoGuang Electric Company opened its first subsidiary in Vietnam under the name GuoGuang Electric (Vietnam) Co. Ltd. (GGEC VN). The subsidiary currently operates two factories that produce sound systems and standalone speakers for a global clientele.

“More than a business, we are a stage where young people can showcase their talents and turn their dreams into reality,” Mr Felix Liu, Production Center Director at GuoGuang Electric Vietnam, said at the event. “If you have ambitions for the future, if you have goals and dreams you want to pursue, and if your answer is ‘yes’, then GuoGuang is exactly the answer you’re looking for. Currently, about 159 DTU students are working at our company, and roughly 10% of the alumni hold important positions. As soon as you join our company, each of you will be paired with an experienced mentor for one-on-one guidance to help you integrate quickly into our workforce and to master essential skills. The experience gained from your first job is more than just a salary; it’s the starting line for your career. We hope to work with you to spark creativity through passion and define your youth through your own effort.”

Most anticipated at the event was the internship recruitment for fourth-year students of the Faculty of Chinese Language. Representatives from GuoGuang Electric Vietnam provided detailed information about perks, including several policies judged competitive and attractive, such as a monthly internship allowance of 6.8 million VND. For internships lasting more than two months, interns are enrolled in insurance starting from the third month, with the company contributing 21.5% and the employee 10.5%, following current regulations.

Interns furthermore receive one-on-one training throughout their internship. Once they become full-time employees, they are personally tutored by experienced mentors and team leaders. Other benefits include periodic health check-ups, overtime support, participation in company events and activities in a professional working environment, and many opportunities to gain hands-on experience through major projects. Through this program, students not only apply their Chinese-language skills in practical work but also strengthen communication skills, teamwork, discipline, and professional conduct — essential factors that contribute to long-term career success.

“GuoGuang Electric is a large company that offers many internship and job opportunities in a variety of fields, especially suitable for new graduates,” Dinh Thi Thu Hien, a fourth-year student of Business Chinese, shares her thoughts at the event while planning to apply for an internship as warehouse accountant. “Through this internship, I hope to continue improving my Chinese, gain more professional experience, and have the chance to get personal experience and grow in a real, professional work environment.”
