On May 12, 2025, the Danang People’s Committee held an awards ceremony for organizations and individuals with outstanding achievements in science, technology, innovation, and startups, where it awarded prizes and certificates of merit to numerous researchers and lecturers from Duy Tan University (DTU) for scientific papers published in prestigious international journals.

“These accolades not only testify to the city’s sound strategic direction but also highlight Danang’s pioneering role in the national strategy for science & technology development, innovation, and digital transformation,” Danang People’s Committee Vice Chairwoman Ms Nguyen Thi Anh Thi affirmed at the ceremony. “In the near future, we hope that these experts and scientists will continue their research, put science & technology applications into practice, gradually commercialize their research results, and closely link research with innovation and startup activities. This will contribute to the city’s socio-economic development and turn Danang into a leading socio-economic center in Vietnam and in Southeast Asia and into a hub for entrepreneurship and innovation, as outlined in Politburo resolution nr. 43-NQ/TW.”

For many years, scientific research has been DTU’s hallmark, with numerous high-quality international publications. As a result, DTU is now among the higher education institutions in Vietnam with steadily increasing numbers of ISI/Scopus-indexed publications in the Q1 and Q2 quartiles.
Recognizing individuals with outstanding achievements in science, technology, innovation, and startups is more than a timely acknowledgment by the Danang city authorities; it is also a strategic move to foster a strongly and sustainably developing innovation ecosystem.
