In addition to his passion for studying Graphic Design at Duy Tan University, Ro Lan Le Trong (stage name Lee Trong) has another deep passion for music.
Recently, Le Trong collaborated with supporting organizations and artists in Danang to release the nonprofit music video Viet Nam chung tay nhé (Vietnam, Let’s Join Hands) to honor those who joined the recovery efforts following typhoon Yagi in the northern regions of the country.

Collaborating with artists in Da Nang, he launched a music project on Typhoon Yagi
Ro Lan Le Trong, a young man of Gia Rai ethnicity, was born and raised in Chu Prong, Gia Lai. His passion for music was "sparked" back during his high school years. He continually taught himself, exploring and crafting his first melodies with a dedication to learning and creating.

Young musician Le Trong said: "I learned that the violent tropical cyclone Yagi wreaked havoc across northern Vietnam, causing heavy damage to people and property. With deep sympathy for the residents and soldiers struggling to withstand the storm, I quickly wrote the song “Vietnam, let's join hands, ' in just one hour."
Viet Nam chung tay nhé was co-written by Le Trong and Ton That Vu, arranged by Phan Nhat Linh, and sung by fifteen Danang-based artists.
“I believe that the music video Viet Nam chung tay nhé holds the heartfelt sentiments of the Danang artists,” Le Trong says. “It calls for unity and speaks of the strength, the resilience, and the compassion of the Vietnamese people. Through the song, I want to express my deep gratitude to those who bravely stepped up to give help, and my thanks to the Vietnamese people for their material and emotional support in the aftermath of typhoon Yagi.”
Always considering himself an "amateur" in the arts, Le Trong diligently learns from seasoned artists to expand his knowledge in the field. Drawing from personal feelings and life experiences, he pours his heart and meticulous attention into each musical piece, gaining valuable experience for the journey ahead.
Although he is still new to the music scene, Le Trong has been working hard to release songs like Gia nhu anh duoc nghe em noi (If Only I Could Hear You Speak) and Tháng 10 có em (In October You’ll Be There) on platforms like YouTube, Spotify, Zing Mp3, and Apple Music, where he has attracted the attention and support from a large audience of music aficionados.
Le Trong shared, “For me, music is not just a passion; it’s like ‘vitamins’ for the soul. When I immerse myself in the melodies, I feel ‘healed.’ I always want to share my thoughts through music and spread positive emotions to everyone.”
Nurturing the dream of becoming a versatile designer for artistic projects.
Pursuing Graphic Design at the DTU School of Engineering & Technology (SET), Le Trong is dedicated to his studies and dreams of becoming a versatile designer for art projects. He is skilled at songwriting, arranging, and visual design for projects related to art and music.
Le Trong has burning passions for Graphic Design and Music Composition
Le Trong shared, “Some people think I’m a bit ambitious. I think youth is the best time to have the courage to chase what you dream of. I’ll start with what I have, learn a lot from my teachers and seniors, persist in following my dreams, and… things will work out eventually” (laughs).
Le Trong’s passion and dreams are truly “in tune with the times,” as the Graphic Design field he and many students are studying at DTU is becoming increasingly essential and widespread across various areas of modern life.

Feeling fortunate to have chosen a field that suits his strengths, Le Trong said: “At DTU, besides receiving comprehensive training in specialized knowledge and career skills but we are also given the best opportunities to develop artistic talents through competitions and events. Thanks to the dedicated guidance of DTU lecturers, my personal branding and logo designs were showcased at the ‘Towards the Future 2024’ exhibition organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Design Association (VDAS). Participating in many activities at DTU has helped me to shape my own style and build confidence as I step into the world of professional design.
